Person Specification: This role would be suited to anyone interested in working with young people, in a community setting. You will have good communication skills, the ability to work well with young people and also as part of a team. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers who are trust worthy and responsible. You must also have an understanding of confidentiality and abide by the centre policies and procedures.

Tasks: Volunteers will assist staff with the following: Supporting young people in a range of activities e.g. sports, crafts, outreach and detached street work. Work alongside centre staff, volunteers and other professionals. Supporting young people. Assisting young people to access local services. Assisting with the planning of new youth projects and events. Promotion of new groups, activities or events

Skills development: This role will enable volunteers to develop youth worker skills such as communication, listening skills, building effective working relationships with young people and staff. Volunteers will also develop organisational skills, be able to plan activities and see them through from idea to reality.

Expenses

£3.50 daily for Drinks and a meal from our cafe.
