We are advertising for Trustees of Memory Action Group (MAG) which was set up as a self-funding peer support group in 2018 to support people living with dementia and their carers and is run by volunteers.

MAG currently runs twice weekly support and activity sessions in the Wakefield District including one games session per month promoting physical activity and one monthly Singalong session. There is a library of information, wide selection of games, painting, crafting, jigsaws, musical bingo, table tennis, boccia bowls, kurling and much more. Two free day trips per annum + barge trips, parties and entertainment are also offered.

Since inception MAG continues to grow exponentially and changing the structure to charitable status strengthens stability and sustainability. 

Vision – To assist people living with dementia to continue to be valued members of their communities for as long as possible and to live with dignity.
