Time for Tea Event Volunteer

Are you looking for a fun & flexible volunteering opportunity?
Flexible hours Flexible

We are looking for big hearted, open minded people who have a little time to give, to make a big difference

We are currently recruiting Time for Tea events Volunteers across the Wakefield District.

Time for Tea events run throughout the district in shared public spaces such as supermarkets and shopping centres. This is an opportunity for older people to gather informally and enjoy refreshments in open areas they already visit, making it a regular drop-in event and providing passers-by with an easy opportunity to engage, feeling comfortable and safe. No doors to open, no closed rooms!

The role of a Time for Tea Volunteer would be varied, you might help set up our event before it gets started, you would welcome attendees and help them get seated, chatting to them and introducing them to other people around the table, you would help to serve refreshments to attendees, and help to clear up and pack away at the end of the event.

Time for Tea events run throughout the month at: The Ridings Centre, Tesco Hemsworth, Morrisons Dewsbury Road, Morrisons Knottingley and Knottingley Community Shop, and usually run from 10:00-12:00.
