Shopping/ Pick-up helper

Can you help us keep up to regular pick ups for our food bank & kitchen?
2 hrs / week Flexible Castleford Central and Glasshoughton view map

Our guests come to us for many different reasons, some have just fallen on hard times, others are isolated/ lonely and/or suffer with addiction and what we do allows the opportunity to share a hot meal with other members of the community in a warm, friendly environment and seek advice/support from our Support co-ordinator and other drop in services during sessions such as Turning point and the local Police.

We also provide food parcels and access to our clothing bank alongside the hot meals.

We are looking for help with donation & order pick ups mainly from our local Aldis and Lidl. This would be Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in-between 9 and 11, it shouldn't take more than 1 hour. You would make a few initial trips with our manager, then this would be an autonomous role.

You would need to use your own car but all mileage to and from the shops can be covered.

Expenses

Mileage to and from shops at 0,45p per mile
