Join Our Volunteer Team as a Running Group Meet Leader!

Who We Are: We are a friendly, inclusive group promoting health, fitness and a love for running. Our weekly meets provide a supportive and fun environment for runners of all levels to come together, improve their fitness and achieve their goals.

The Opportunity: We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our growing team of volunteer running group meet leaders. As a leader, you will:

  • Lead Weekly Runs: Plan and lead weekly group runs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Motivate and Inspire: Encourage runners of all levels, helping them stay motivated and achieve their personal best.
  • Build Community: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
  • Training and Support: Comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in your role.
  • A Rewarding Experience: Make a positive impact on the lives of others and be part of a vibrant running community.

Expenses

To ensure consistency, quality and safety for all our participants, we ask that all run leaders complete the England Athletics Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF) qualification. The associated costs relating to this qualification will be met by us.
Reasonable travel and occasional entertainment expenses will be reimbursed with prior approval.
