Light Up Ambassador Sunday 5.30pm-8pm

Join us as a Light Up Ambassador and help welcome visitors to the Light Up Wakefield event!
2 hrs / week From Sun 17th Nov 2024

As a Light Up Ambassador, you will play a key role in welcoming visitors to the Light Up Wakefield event in the city centre. Your duties will include greeting guests, handing out event programmes, providing information on the exciting light installations, and helping direct visitors to various activities and locations across the Wakefield City centre.

You’ll ensure that everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience by answering questions about the installations, craft activities, the Christmas Market, and street entertainment.

We are also seeking multilingual volunteers who can provide assistance in other languages, so let us know if that’s you!

 We have the following shifts in Wakefield City Centre over the weekend. Sign up and let us know which shifts you are available for.

Please note there will be a briefing 15 minutes prior to the shift start time

Training will be provided to ensure you’re well-prepared to help make this event a magical experience for all visitors.

You must sign up as an Our Year volunteer and attend our training session.

Expenses

Our Year can provide volunteer expenses up to £5 per day for travel
