Would you like to volunteer with Age UK Wakefield District?

We are looking for big hearted, open minded people who are good listeners and reliable team members.

Home Visit Befrienders offer companionship and friendship to an isolated older person living in their own home, by providing regular weekly visits – for this role we ask volunteers to commit to visiting once a week for a minimum of six months. Home Visit Befrienders must be aged 18 or over.

This is a lovely role where you will be matched with an isolated lonely older person living in the Wakefield District, you would visit your Befriendee once per week to provide friendship, companionship and support. There is a small element of paperwork whereby you would complete monthly visit records and send those in to the Befriending coordinator.

Giving a little of your time to someone who has little social contact makes such a huge difference. Do something amazing today and become a Befriender with Age UK Wakefield District
