Gardening Volunteer

Help to create a beautiful outdoor space for our elderly residents to enjoy.
2 hrs / week Flexible Wakefield South view map

At one of our independent living schemes we have a beautiful garden, the lawn is mowed frequently however our residents would like help with making the garden more interesting. They would ideally like someone who is both a keen gardener, and physically able as it may include lifting bags of mulch occasionally which the residents cannot do themselves.

Due to the ongoing risk of our residents being out in public, having a beautiful outdoor space for them to enjoy and socialise in with other residents will make a huge difference to their mental health.

We can cover travel expenses and any relevant training costs.
