Gardening Support

Have you got green fingers? We are looking for volunteers to help maintain our community gardens

This opportunity is part of the Our Year Nurture and Nourish programme, which focuses growing, sustainability and the power of food to bring communities together! You will be assisting at one of our gardening events. The role may include:

• General garden maintenance – planting, pruning, potting, weeding, watering etc.

• Some physical activities – digging, grass cutting, lifting

• Planning, developing and choosing bulbs and plants

• Working with local community groups to grow their own produce

• Working on projects on your own as well as in a group to achieve planned projects

• General garden housekeeping such as clearing of paths, removal of leaves & overgrown plants etc.

Our Year can provide volunteer expenses up to £5 per day for travel
