This role is an ‘all-rounder’ and ideal if you are interested in assisting with a variety of events to help raise funds and awareness of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. You will be attending community events as a representative of the YAA and typical duties include: working on and set up of a stall, attending a cheque presentation, collecting tins, wearing our mascot or bucket collecting at a supermarket. As a fundraising volunteer you will be responsible for a small amount of YAA official merchandise and equipment, taking this to the stall location and setting up. You will be responsible for counting and banking money raised and completing the required paperwork after. Full training will be given.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and without them we would not be able to attend the 100s of events we attend each year, raising much needed awareness and funds.
ExpensesReasonable travel expenses will be covered. Mileage is claimable at 45p a mile.
If volunteering for over 6 hours, food and drink can be claimed to a maximum of £7.50.
