Food Pantry Assistant
Are you compassionate, approachable & want to support your local community? If so, we need YOU!
St George’s Food Pantry is a membership scheme aimed at helping local residents' money go further by reducing food shopping bills, and allowing them to maintain dignity & choice. We are looking to recruit volunteers to support with the day-to-day running of the Pantry.
Tasks will include:
- Keeping track of stock
- Unloading food deliveries
- Basic administration tasks, ensuring client details are kept confidential
- Signposting clients to other services
Time commitment:
- An afternoon weekly/fortnightly
What we need from you:
- The ability to ensure confidentiality
- Compassionate and able to treat those in need with dignity and respect
- Passionate about helping people in the local community
- Flexible, reliable & trustworthy
- Willing to work alongside other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the Pantry
