Digital Champions

Can you help us to reach out to more people to prevent cancer and diagnose more cancers earlier
1 hrs / week Flexible

Cancer SMART is an exciting new programme to help tackle cancer with the potential to save lives through more effective prevention advice and improved early diagnosis.

Digital Champions are people willing to share positive health messages with their friends and followers on social media to help us tackle cancer across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.

Cancer SMART, a partnership of patient-led charity Yorkshire Cancer Community and West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance will provide positive health messages for volunteers to share, to encourage more everyday conversations about cancer and ways of staying healthy.

As a volunteer, you will get an opportunity to use your skills for a worthwhile cause and be able to access training on cancer awareness.

You can make a real and significant difference helping to spread important health messages.

You will also be part of a small team working together to develop this programme which will include new roles in the future including cancer champions and community connectors.

Expenses

All volunteering will be done on line from a volunteer's own home/workplace using their own mobile phone/tablet or computer, so expenses are not offered
