We are looking for volunteers to cook delicious dishes for our Meet n Eat's Diner here in Normanton.

The diner is for people living in social isolation and we provide a free, 3 course hot meal for them to enjoy with new friends.

Attended by around 50 people each Thursday, the diner is essential in helping people meet new friends and feel apart of the community. Some customers not seeing people outside of the diner from week to week or having a decent, hot meal.

We need volunteers to cook meals either in their own homes or possibly at the Well Project. We provide training for Food Hygiene Level 2, all ingredients needed and expenses for cooking in your home.

Dinners need to be transported to the diner at Woodhouse Community Centre, Normanton, before 11:30am so being local and a driver is desired, however, it may be possible for us to collect locally.

It's also optional for volunteers to attend the diner, help serve meals, greet and chat to customers and other volunteers.

Think of it as a pop-up restaurant, we have 5 stars with Environmental Health, it's enjoyed by many and is great fun.

Expenses

We provide a set fee for cooking in own homes.
All ingredients are provided or reimbursed.
Travel expenses would need to be discussed and agreed beforehand.
