Community Development Volunteer Assistant

This role would be suited to anyone interested in working with people in a community setting.

You will have good communication skills, the ability to work well with young people and also as part of a team. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers who are trust worthy and responsible.

Tasks: Volunteers will assist staff with the following: Assist in the recruitment of volunteers,Network with local community groups, agencies and organisations which operate in the Eastmoor area

To attend community meetings as a representative of Eastmoor Community Project Limited To work alongside staff and other volunteers in delivering services. Consultation  with centre users and the wider community

Skills development: This role will enable volunteers to develop key skills in the area of community Development such as communication, building effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, centre users, other organisations and agencies. Volunteers will also develop skills around time keeping, reliability, disseminating information, gathering views and feedback from people.

Volunteer shifts available: Volunteering is flexible and hours can be agreed with the supervisor. The centre is open Monday – Friday and occasionally on a Saturday.


£3.50 for drinks and food from the cafe
