To become part of a successful team of volunteers who befriend individuals who are experiencing social isolation – in the hope of:
Creating a valued relationship
Helping to improve self-confidence
Reduce social isolation by supporting people to access activities
Accountable to: The Health & Wellbeing Manager
To meet with a person at an agreed place (this could be their home)
To make a regular, agreed commitment - this usually involves a minimum of one hour per week
To agree with the client a range of beneficial activities to reduce social isolation.
To adhere to St George's Lupset Ltd policies and procedures.
We are looking for volunteers who:
Are friendly and caring
Are honest and trustworthy
Have good listening skills
Have a clear time commitment
