We’re looking for neurodiverse individuals, single parents, and refugees with bookkeeping skills.
5 hrs / week Flexible

The WYCAS Abacus Project aims to connect neurodiverse individuals, single parents, & refugees with local charities needing financial management support. This opportunity helps participants build or refresh bookkeeping & financial skills, boosting their career prospects while giving back to the community.

As a participant, you will support charities by managing their financial records, bookkeeping, & preparing reports using tools like Excel & QuickBooks. Your work will directly improve the efficiency of these charities, helping them serve their communities better.

WYCAS provides training before your placement & ongoing support & mentoring throughout the 4-month period, with sessions every 4-6 weeks. We seek individuals with experience in bookkeeping, financial recording, or financial management, or those studying towards a qualification like AAT.

This role offers hands-on experience in a charity-based setting, helping you enhance your employability, you will also receive a reference upon completion of the placement, all whilst making a meaningful difference. By volunteering, you’ll play a crucial role in local charities’ success, plus you'll gain both personal & professional growth.
